Department of Hindi
History
In Ramnathapuram District, we are the only college to impart Hindi Language.
Though it was remote region, people does not know the value of the language. So we create awareness for the people
through our college to learn our National Language and explain the importance of the language. Students those who are
from Tamil medium, they does not know the basic knowledge about Hindi are also willing to learn Hindi language.
The department library has stoked with 150 books on the shelf of encourage the students for extra reading. The Department is
equipped with a Personal Computer, Educational CDs, which helps ICT enabled learning
The department was established in the year 2007, in order to offer Part I Hindi for all the Under Graduate courses
- We also offer papers for Skill based Elective and Open Elective Course from 2008 batch onwards
- The department offers certificate course in Spoken Hindi from 2009 onwards
- The department offers certificate course in Tourism from 2018 onwards

Empowering the Women by learning Hindi as a communicative language and also to equip them with skills to
meet the challenges in the Global level
Mission
- Empowering the young women by imparting the skill set (Such as reading writing and speaking )required
for Hindi language related profession
- Raising the confidence level of the learners to participate in various career opportunity
- Encouraging the students to become an entrepreneur, content writer and translator with the language skill
