Thassim Beevi Innovation Incubation Council was established on 20th June 2018, under MHRD initiatives to groom young emerging students of various disciplines to become innovators, entrepreneurs and startups in their area of interest. The Government of India, as an educational partner, is now transforming higher education institutions to produce skilled graduates. The country is facing challenges in a multifaceted manner to increase the GDP of the Nation where the young minds in schools and colleges shall be guided and motivated in the right directions to be a role player in the country's growth and economic development in the next decade.

Encouraging Citizens to Guide Students Toward Excellence

We the citizens of India shall guide our students to march towards excellence in their ideas, knowledge, core activity, innovations and to become more entrepreneurial. The country is looking for and expecting the institutions to become agents of change in fine tuning the brains of young population in higher educational campus. Hence with this vision, TBIIC is inviting the students, faculty, entrepreneurs, alumnae and start-ups, innovators to participate in this council to get directions in a phased manner to groom their ideas into actions, transform their creativity into innovations, and to become entrepreneurs to provide jobs to various sections of our society and make our Nation proud in the Global scenario.

Establishment and Mission

TBIIC, established on June 20th, 2018, is a dynamic initiative under the MHRD to nurture the potential of emerging students from diverse disciplines. Our primary mission is to transform these young minds into innovators, entrepreneurs, and catalysts for startups within their respective fields. Recognized as an educational partner by the Government of India, TBIIC is dedicated to reshaping higher education institutions, producing skilled graduates and contributing to the nation's GDP.

As India faces multifaceted challenges in its quest for economic growth, TBIIC is committed to guiding and motivating students in schools and colleges. We believe that the youth is a pivotal force in driving the country's growth and economic development in the next decade. Our goal is to act as a guiding light, ensuring that students are directed towards excellence in ideas, knowledge, core activities, and innovations.

Vision

By fostering an entrepreneurial culture on campus and meeting the requirements of faculty and student entrepreneurs with cutting-edge socially relevant ideas, we can improve our educational system and advance both the national economic and social development.

Mission

To establish a platform with the necessary infrastructure that can allow students and faculty to invent and quickly design their ideas with support from the government, industry, and reputable academic institutions throughout the country to help them fulfil their potentials.

Objectives

  • Effective maintenance of the cell with proper records and registers.
  • To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in a time-bound fashion.
  • Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
  • Organize periodic workshops, seminars and interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
  • Create an Institution's Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution's faculty and students.
  • Organize Hackathons, idea competitions, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industries.

Entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship play a significant role in the socio-economic development of a nation. Entrepreneurship is the act of creating a business or businesses while building and scaling it to generate a profit and is also about transforming the world by solving big problems. In order to fulfil the need of an hour, TBAKC has a well-equipped Entrepreneurship Developmental Cell.

The main aim of the cell is to generate employment for people in their enterprises. This cell will reduce the unemployment, which is the main cause of all economic problems. The EDC has carried out some important stimulatory activities.

Welcome to the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), an initiative under the Ministry of Human Resource Development in the Government of India. Established with a vision to foster rural entrepreneurship, MGNCRE is committed to empowering students and fostering a culture of innovation and enterprise in rural areas.

About MGNCRE

MGNCRE was founded to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills, particularly in the rural context. Since its inception, MGNCRE has been dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among students, aiming to create a generation of self-reliant individuals capable of driving socio-economic change in their communities.

The Birth of the Rural Entrepreneurship Cell

On 25th November 2020, under the dynamic leadership of Dr. S. Sumaya, Principal of Thassim Beevi Abdul Kader College for Women, Kilakarai, the Rural Entrepreneurship Cell (REC) was established. REC serves as a catalyst for igniting the entrepreneurial flame within students, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and guidance to embark on their entrepreneurial journey.

  • Strengthening entrepreneurial skills through business competitions.
  • Grooming students to become successful rural entrepreneurs.

Under the able guidance of Prof. Chethan Chittalkar, Director of MGNCRE, and Dr. G. Rajini, MGNCRE has been instrumental in motivating students towards adopting an entrepreneurial and professional mindset. Through various workshops and seminars, they have imparted invaluable knowledge and insights, inspiring students to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
